I have been using Twitter for about 5-6 years now. I interact with my friends from high school, new friends that I have now in college, and people that go to surrounding universities. I go on Twitter for entertainment purposes, it is really helpful for hen I am having a bad day. I retweet funny things, sociopolitical issues, and information I think would be beneficial for people to know. In the future, Twitter will help with connecting me to other educators or just giving me some joy while dealing with papers and other stress that come with adult life.
The digital divide may affect a students success in school because most assignments are to be completed online. A student that does not have access to these resources such as a computer or tablet, will not be able to complete the work which will lead to a bad grade. The digital divide can be caused by a lack of funds to buy the electronics. It can cause competition in schools because the people that have access to those resources get ahead on their assignments. There will always be some students more fortunate than others in every classroom setting. This would affect my teaching because I would need to find alternative ways for the students with limited electronics to complete assignments.
I would implement Microsoft Office usage and Kami extension in my future classroom. Microsoft Office would be very beneficial in my class because I want to teach English, with English comes papers and assignments you would need to type in order to turn in. Kami is an extension on Google tat can convert certain documents into a PDF format that you can mark up. I would use this because I used it and it proved to be helpful for many years so I would like to pass on that knowledge.
